FoodSource lures are made from food, not soft plastic. They are designed to feel natural like a minnow or other natural food sources. They will not feel as soft as soft plastic baits. Not only do FoodSource lures feel and taste more natural to fish, the firmness helps them stay on the hook better. If you think they are a little too firm right out of the bag, just fish them for a while and they'll limber up. Or, you can put a little water in the bag and let it soak in if you want softer lures.
You will need to take a little extra care of these baits. FoodSource lures do not need to be refrigerated, but you should keep them away from extreme heat and prolonged direct sunlight. If they get hot and feel soft, just cool them down and they'll be fine.
The FoodSource Panfish/Crappie Kit lures should be kept sealed in the airtight-waterproof box when not in use. If the box is accidentally left open for too long and the lures feel a little stiff, just add a little water to the lures and they'll return to normal consistency.
